| Motion and Opacity |

This is an information visualization project that attempts to capture something in between still image (photography) and kinetic image (video). Photography enables the study an image, but not the motion behind the image. Video shows motion but does not offer the ability to study movement. This poster reveals a hierarchy of opacity that works as an indicator of movement: where I am moving more quickly, the image is more transparent. Where I am still, the image is more opaque. I was able to capture my movement over time by using ample light and a slow shutter speed with the camera on a rotating surface. I contributed concept development, photography, and visual design.
